Rajneeti Movie Review

There are very few movies which after I had seen them and I had felt bad later on, not because the movie was bad or something like that, just because I had seen it and now I cant have the same fun, excitement, or adrenaline rush which I just had while watching it.
RAJNEETI is one of such movie, it left me in some other world....

I havent much affection for Prakash jha's last outing APARAHAN but I loved GANGA JAL...
I had expected RAJNEETI to be just an average fair but it proved me wrong on every aspect....

As Prakash stated in his interviews that the movie is an adaptation of the epic MAHABARTsaga and I commend Prakash for transforming that epic saga into celluloid and making such a gripping, engaging movie based on modern day political drama...

The story starts with the head of a leading political party on the verge of choosing either his son(manoj vajpayee) or his brother's son(arjun rampal) to be the future FACE for the party.
He finds Arjun to be most appropriate for the president's post which results in a rivalry between Arjun and Manoj.
Manoj hacks a consipiracy with Ajay(Karan In Mahabarat) to get hold of the party and he suceeds too.. This forces Ranbir(Arjun's brother) to come to politics and rescue his family from political downfall and the rest of the story forms a battle between the two groups...

According to me the main HERO of the movie is Prakash Jha and kudos to him to make such a wonderful movie.

The most important aspect of this movie is that there is no positive character in this movie not any male actor at least. All the male actors from manoj to ranbir all have grey shades in their characters.
Yes Katrina and sarah do have positive characters but they arent the main leads
In the acting department I liked Manoj, Ranbir, Arjun, Ajay, Nana. The music of the film is good and backgroundscore blends well with the proceedings....

Scenes Worth Mentioning---

1. Ajay's inclusion in the party
2. I really loved Arjun when he talks with Ranbir with blood all over his face
3. The scene in the hospital.
4. The bomb blast at home.

The list is endless....

Scenes which I dont like

The revelation of the truth about Ajay's past to Nana,,it has been handled childishly.

On the whole there are very less movies like Rajneeti,,and please dont miss it.

YOU WILL FALL IN LOVE WITH IT....

I think Raajneeti is a good movie and from my side 4 star for it..
Script is outstanding, screenplay is mindblowing, direction is up to the mark, chemistry between all lead characters is simply superb, manoj bajpai, ranbir kapoor, nana patekar & ajay devgan are brilliant…and overall movie is fantastic..
but yes katrina last speech is pathetic..
an i think Prakash Jha should really learn how to use songs as background scores.
